It is with regret that I have to inform you that Jan Soderberg has resigned and is leaving the business to return to his native Sweden. He has a great optunity with a small Swedish firm that promises h a lifestyle he doesn’t feel he can get in Madrid . . . but more of this from Jan who I know will drop you a fuller note soon.
Given this I have asked Rosa to take back sole charge of running the Madrid office and to work with Georgina and Blanca to do what is best for the combined businesses in Spain. Jan’s departure is far from perfect in terms of ting as he has been here barely a year. However, Rosa, Georgina and Blanca are established leaders of our firm, are well known in the marketplace and I am sure that they and Jordi, Ainhoa and Rodrigo in Madrid and Javier in Barcelona will ensure that client service is maintained. I know that change to leadership is unwelcome but I remain hopeful we can trade our way out of this situation with a little more te, luck and new business application. There are a number of big optunities in front of us at the moment and the business plans for both Barcelona and Madrid that we are discussing now for next year are directed at growth and investment.
More of this later. . . for now I apologise for yet another change and I thanks you for your continued hard work and diligence in serving our clients in Spain.
